1-3pm - Hands-On Judaism with Kol Ami. Tu'BShvat 2022: Celebrate Trees and Give Back to our natural world! Join Kol Ami families as we put our hands to work intending and nurturing the precious land upon which we live. Time to get our hands dirty. All ages and stages. Space is limited to the first 20 people! Thank you to Kol Ami member Brian Lichtman for spearheading this holy day celebration. Join the Green Kirkland Partnership and Green Kirkland Stewards Stacey as we spend the afternoon helping the tree canopy at Crestwoods Park! This will include spreading mulch around trees and some light planting. These are moderately physical activities, 100% outdoors such as digging/lifting/weeding in forested natural areas. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Tools, training and gloves are provided. * Closed Toed Shoes * Long Pants/Long Sleeves * Raingear * Warm Layers * Clothes that can get dirty * Water bottle * Snacks * To meet public health guidelines, the City of Kirkland requests that all event participants pre-register for the event and follow any safety steps outlined by the event leader.
