ALL THINGS HANUKKAH!

Light up each night with

Kol Ami

A Center for Jewish Life

12/25/24 - 1/1/25

Nightly Community Candle Lighting on Zoom at 5pm

Join Rabbi Kinberg and the Kol Ami Board of Directors as we welcome each night of Hanukkah together from our own homes! We will light the candles, sing Hanukkah songs, and share stories, recipes, and traditions. Each candle lighting will be around 20 minutes. Reach out to Rabbi Kinberg if you want to share something with the community!

Hanukkah Fundraiser: 8k

At this season of giving, please consider Kol Ami as one of your potential recipients. We are a small non-profit with an annual budget of less than 400k. We employ no full-time staff and rely on the generous contributions of our members and community members to sustain our work in building the Jewish community in Kirkland and on the Eastside.

Our goal this year is 1k for every night of Hanukkah. These donations are tax-deductible and go solely to the salaries, rent, and programs serving the Jewish community. Your tzedakah, righteous giving, is what powers our Jewish community.

~Hanukkah Mitzvah Project~

Together, we make a difference. This year, Kol Ami is supporting Lake Washington United Methodist Church’s SAFE PARKING PROGRAM to support unhoused women and families by making the experience of living in one's car safer and better resourced. In the dark and cold of winter, we can make a difference in the lives of women and families struggling to stay warm, fed, and alive.

Safe Parking is a program for women and families living in their cars. We recognize that people who are homeless and have a vehicle face challenges in where to park their car without fear of tickets or harassment.
We also recognize that homelessness can be isolating and the benefits of community and relationships can be life-transforming.

What we can do:

Organize making a dinner with other Kol Ami families. Sign up here to make a dinner for the participants of the Safe Parking program.

You can also bring donations to our Kol Ami donation box during services, youth programs or at our Hanukkah Extravaganza. Box will be out starting the weekend of December 6.
