Welcome to Kol Isha!
Congregation Kol Ami's Sisterhood is called Kol Isha, Voice of the Sisters. We are a very active organization. We welcome all women members of Congregation Kol Ami, all women who are Jewish, in the process of converting to Judaism, or related to a Jew by marriage or birth. You do not need to be Jewish or a member of Kol Ami to join. In addition, your membership extends to post-Bat Mitzvah daughters in your household.
Our meetings and events are posted on the Congregation Kol Ami calendar and on Facebook. A calendar for 2017-2018 can be found here.
Kol Isha creates a special place for women in our Puget Sound Jewish community. We enjoy the camaraderie of being American Jewish women, and we seek to provide opportunities for friendship, fun, learning, and support of each other and CKA. One of our continuing traditions is to present a Kiddush cup to each B'nai Mitzvah to honor their accomplishment.
We are a member of the national organization Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ), an affiliate of the Union for Reform Judaism.
Yearly membership dues begin at $45. No one will be turned away due to her inability to pay.
Any potential new member of Kol Isha is invited to attend 2 or 3 events prior to joining.
A non-member fee may be charged at some Sisterhood events.
