Rabbi Yohanna Kinberg
Originally from Eugene, where her father was a Reform congregational rabbi, Rabbi Kinberg has lived in the Pacific Northwest most of her life. She served as Associate Rabbi at Temple B'nai Torah in Bellevue for 11 years where she led the transformation of TBT's religious school and youth programming. She is familiar with all aspects of congregational work and is actively involved with several Jewish organizations, including Jewish Family Service, Hadassah, J Street, Women's Torah Project, and the Jewish Federation. Rabbi Kinberg also has strong commitments to Tikkun Olam, social justice, reproductive rights, the environment, and to Israel. She is married to Rabbi Seth Goldstein of Temple Beth Hatfiloh in Olympia. They have two sons.

“I’m so delighted to serve as Kol Ami’s rabbi,” says Kinberg. “It feels like a natural fit growing up in a small Northwest community. It’s like a homecoming for me. I look forward to leading this vibrant and intimate Jewish community.”

Ariel Zaslav

Ariel Zaslav, Religious School Director
Ariel and her family moved back to Seattle after spending six years in Philadelphia (her beloved hometown). She has held many positions in the field of Jewish Education including Education Director, religious school teacher, camp recruiter, Day Camp Director, and youth program coordinator. Ariel has worked in numerous Reconstructionist and Reform congregations for Camp JRF and for Noar Hadash (the reconstructionist Youth Movement). She is passionate about inclusive Judaism and developing programming which allows for a diversity of Jews to engage and explore their own connections to being Jewish. Ariel is partnered with Rabbi David Basior, rabbi of Kadima Reconstructionist Community. They have two daughters, Madrona and Gahlia.

Sherri Feldman Sherri Feldman, Administrative Coordinator
Sherri and her husband, Evan, have two beautiful daughters, and have been members of CKA since 2008. Sherri has been an active member of the Congregation and has been working as the Office Administrator for over 5 years. Because she enjoys working with people and volunteering, Sherri volunteers with PTA at her children's schools and Girl Scouts. In what little free time she has, Sherri enjoys cake decorating, reading, and playing board games with family. Sherri is thankful to find such a warm and welcoming community at Congregation Kol Ami.
Sarabeth Levine Sarabeth Levine, Youth Director
Sarabeth grew up in Redmond (where she and her family still live) and knows the community well. Growing up she was active in both youth group and religious school. During high school she was on B'nai Torah's Youth board and then continued on to serve on the board for NFTY-NW (North American Federation of Temple Youth) as Religious and Cultural Vice President. Since high school, she has been working with Jewish teens at different Temples around Seattle and the Eastside. She works as a paralegal in a small firm in Lynnwood as her day job. Sarabeth enjoys working with the youth in our community and getting them involved in Temple events.


  Rhonda Marshall

Rhonda Marshall, President
Rhonda Marshall has been a member of Congregation Kol Ami since Fall of 2000. She and her family in Kirkland. Rhonda also conducts the Kol Ami Choir, tutors B'nai Mitzvah students, and facilitates the Torah study discussion group. She is passionate about Torah, music, and art. She also teaches Pilates and sings in the Con Brio Women’s Choir.

 Alan Gordon Alan Gordon, Vice President
Alan is married to Susan, and has two grown daughters, Heather and Hope. Before moving to Kirkland to avoid the commute, he was a founding member of synagogue in South Seattle, Bet Chaverim, where he was a two-term president, and served as treasurer for two-terms, as well. Alan is a licensed professional Civil engineer and although he still does work for the WSDOT bridge office in his spare time, his main profession is senior software engineer at Espial where DVR systems are designed and built for the TV cable industry.

Cathy Clark, Secretary



Cathy and her husband, Robert, joined Kol Ami to become more active members of a small, close-knit congregation located close to their home in Woodinville. Cathy is a retired Systems Analyst. She is also active with Kol Isha Sisterhood. Besides her work at Kol Ami, Cathy keeps busy visiting with her three young granddaughters.
